Hello Boagworld

by admin

Paul Boag and Marcus Lillington from Headscape have an amazing podcast that has me absolutely enthralled. They do a podcast for web designers, developing,  and for people who run web sites on a day to day basis. I probably didn’t say that correctly but listening to just a few episodes it gets drilled into your head, or not.
It is great to hear interviews Paul does with great web developers like Jonathon Snook, Eric Meyers, and Ryan Carson just to name a few. The interviews are very personal and you get to know the person for who they are not for what they sell. This is important and I can not express how much I have gained from the people who come on Boagworld, not just from Paul and Marcus themselves.

Readers questions come in and bring me back to earth and makes me think, “Ahh I am not alone”. They do a news section as well just taking a few top news stories of the last week or up and coming.

What really makes the podcast stand out from the litter, and what has kept me on it and laughing is Paul and Marcus themselves. They do pointless banter, joke about how we all have speech issues but their personalities click so well that despite what may be considered abuse they always laugh it off and actually enjoy what they do. They are on Episode 150, I have not listened to Episode 150 because I started from Episode 1 about 2 months ago. Listening daily to the progression of the show is great and at Episode 131 you could almost write a timeline on the phases of Boagworld podcasts and it would be funny. I am close to 150 and I am going to be depressed that I can not listen to a new Episode after Episode throughout the day.

It helps me focus on my job at work because I can cancel out all the phone calls and chatter around my cube and it keeps me awake on the car ride home. Even though I am American and Paul hates us all (ha, got ya Paul) I simply can not stop listening. Maybe someday I can find a good myself another good personality to do a podcast with me about the web! I could write loads more but then I wouldn’t be paying attention to the Episode I am listening now.
