DelveUI | NYC | Day 1

You can’t really start talking about the delvenyc conference without thanking the patient and well mannered executive producer Fritz Desir for putting together a very well put together panel of speakers and trying something new with the one on one between Liz Danzico and Jason Santa Maria. This is only day one and the information is still sinking in; we all translate things differently and it is nice to see other people’s point of view. Today I saw a lot of things I do and see I am not alone with and most of all I was in a crowd of people who were there because they wanted to me, loved the web and genuinely want to make the web a better place… to live.

Major Facelift

Over the next few months between client projects I plan to re -design this site. The original design was created from scratch, hand coded and WordPress injected into the mold and it taught me a lot about creating themes for WordPress. It was a lot of fun but I am on a less-is-more kick lately and Chris Coyier’s theme WP Typo fits the mold. I made a small change and may make a few more before I switch to my own theme, the minor change is that I added my most recent tweet to the sticky footer by increasing the original height of the footer and compensating that with in the CSS with Chris’s push. Nothing fancy but with a lack of sidebars I wanted to have something more than a bare site. =) Read the rest of this entry »

MacHeist 3

Spreading opulence is all about sharing with others. Well I have something very awesome to share with all you wonderful Apple geeks out there. There is a splendid group of people who have done some amazing magic tricks to get a bundle of software together for those who are ‘tight’ as one would say (if you lived in the UK). In other words, and this is my belief anyway, if any of these software titles were being sold alone one might not be interested in investing in them.
