Passionate Work
by admin
It’s nice to tell people you enjoy what you do; I am double lucky as I enjoyed my last two jobs very much. For four years I worked at a local computer shop doing shop work, answering phones and working with people. My challenge was to learn how to explain a concept to someone who wasn’t familiar, my technique was filled with relating material dynamically so clients could better understand how and why things are the way they are. I now work for another company doing web development which was always a hobby but brought together my degree for graphic design and my passion for the web.
People will normally tell you honestly how they feel about what they do and most complain. I made the best of jobs that had nothing to do with fields I wanted to persue before I fell into something I was passionate about. Now that I think about it making the best out of every situation is not only a choice but helps get through the days a lot easier. Why do people have the need to talk about what they don’t like about their jobs in great detail? Do they think that is going to make it disappear. Focus on the negative and produce nothing more than the same.
Listen if you truely don’t like what you do, find out what you do like and follow that passion. There is no reason to settle for less than what you want! There are plenty of people out there who are wealthy doing what they love to do and you can be too! There are many books out there to help you figure out what it is you enjoy doing best and how to successed in anything you get into. I suggest Jack Canfields “The Success Principles” as it has helped millions feel better about their success and uses true stories to help back the idea that anything is possible. Read up on people in the field you want to be in, if you enjoy reading about it you know it is for you. You don’t have to wake up every morning wanting to go to work, but it sure does help when you wakeup every morning and can’t wait to start working!
