Thinking a lot lately about what to write here on my blog when I have come to a realization. All of the topics I wanted to write about were gripes I had about things that I wish to communicate with the world hopes that others were either having the same issues, or companies would listen and do something about it! If I may I think I will give you a little sample of the rants I was probably going to go on about in more than a few posts shrunk nicely into an unordered list item summaries.

  • Mint.com – Fantastic financial software, I would love to use it if ING Direct worked with them. I stopped using Mint regretfully because ING told me that their security is too strict to work with a company link Mint.com. If they did and someone got my Mint password they would have all my ING information and for that reason ING will never work with 3rd party companies like Mint.
  • Cars – Why do people still insist on making it harder for me to see you on the road? Is putting on your headlights so that you do not look like a shadow and instead a car to hard? Personally I would think that anything I can do for someone else to see me better on the road is something worth doing
  • Web Design – I absolutely love the web, I started doing web design as a hobby in 1999, nothing major and amazing uneventful work however I remember once a month designing a whole new web site for myself. Now that I am back into the web again full time after some years of doing IT work and going to school I feel the same way! I am fighting back the urge to have absolutely no social life what so ever and just redesign my web page and become more and more familiar with the field I am so passionate about.
  • Europe – I am listing to a Podcast from Boagworld and Paul and Markus are an absolute riot to listen to as they discuss web topics for those who design, develop and maintain websites. Jeremy Clarkson and Tiff Needle are my favorite two commentators and they both have a few things in common. They both drive cars very well, they both do it, write about it (amazingly well), and they both host hit TV Shows in Europe. James May who is also a co-host of Top Gear is cunning linguist with his commentary, he can easily make you visualize anything he is doing.

Honestly the last one there is not much of a gripe or something that bothers me however in defense to that I wish America could have a great car TV show (they don’t so don’t even try and tell me about current programs). I almost feel like I would have more in common with Europeans than I would with Americans. Television becomes more and more disgusting to me every day and I wish there was something good on the TV to watch, figures the only two TV shows I actually care for are in the wrong country for me to watch.

So why is it that I have this need to express my small issues with everybody on the internet? None of these things really bother me in the sense that after a rant about not seeing someone while driving in pouring rain I am over it. Matter of fact I don’t let negative things bother me at all if I can figure out a way to find something positive out of it. Perhaps I feel like I would bore friends and family who cannot relate to a lot of the things I like to talk about and I am searching for someone to talk to.
